Acorus gramineus

To bleeding gums (root powder); in the treatment of digestive problems - particularly gastralgia and diarrhoea, cough, bronchial asthma, neurasthenia, depression, epilepsy, body parasites, dermatosis and haemorrhoids(root)

Actaea cimicifuga

Lowers fevers and reduces pain (plant); in the treatment of rheumatic complaints, coughs, colds, headaches, gum inflammation and feverish infections such as measles (root)

Actaea dahurica

In the treatment of coughs, colds, headaches, gum inflammation and feverish infections such as measles (root)

Baptisia tinctoria

In the treatment of upper respiratory infections such as tonsillitis and pharyngitis, and is also valuable in treating infections of the chest, gastro-intestinal tract and skin (infusion); soothes sore or infected nipples and infected skin conditions (root); as a gargle to treat mouth ulcers, gum infections and sore throats (decoction of plant).

Barosma betulina

In the treatment of rheumatic complaints, coughs, colds, headaches, gum diseases and feverish infections such as measles (root)

Coptis chinensis

Controls bacterial and viral infections, relaxes spasms, lowers fevers and stimulates the circulation, for diarrhoea, acute enteritis and dysentery, insomnia, fidget, delirium due to high fever, leukaemia, otitis media, acne, boils, abscesses and burns whilst it is also used as a gargle for mouth and tongue ulcers, swollen gums and toothache (root).

Cydonia oblonga

For ulcers (stem bark); in the treatment of respiratory diseases, especially in children (seeds); as a mouthwash or gargle to treat mouth ulcers, gum problems and sore throats (fruit juice)

Elaeocarpus floribundus

Used as a mouthwash for painful and inflamed gums (infusion of bark and leaves)

Flacourtia jangomas

Stomach problems and diarrhea (leaf); liver problems (fruit); for bleeding gums and toothache (leaves and bark); as a gargle (bark infusion)

Madhuca longifolia

In ulcers (root bark); as a tonic (flower and bark); in diabetes, in itching, bleeding gums, ulcers, rheumatism, diabetes and as an astringent (bark); in piles (flowers); for skin diseases (seed oil); as a poultice for eczema (leaves).

Pimenta dioica

To treat arthrosis, athlete’s foot, bruise, candidiasis, cold, colic, corns, cramps, diabetes, diarrhea, dysmenorrhea, dyspepsia, fatigue, fever, gastric disorders, gingivosis, high blood pressure, mycosis, neuralgia, rheumatism, toothache, vaginosis.

Potentilla erecta

In the treatment of diarrhoea, dysentery, sore throats etc (plant); as a wash for mouth ulcers, infected gums, piles and inflamed eyes (decoction); to treat chapping of the anus and cracked nipples (extract)

Sambucus nigra

For infections related to the chills, in bronchial asthma, as mouth-wash and gargle, hoarseness, rhinitis and gum inflammation (flower); in sciatica, rheumatism, migraine and cough (fruit); as snuff to stop bleeding of the nose (leaf powder); in epilepsy (bark or flower); in colds, inflamed throat, gout, rheumatism and neuralgia (berries)

Symplocos crataegoides

In the treatment of menorrhagia, eye diseases, bowel complaints, dysentery, inflammations, vaginal discharges, leprosy and ulcers, as a gargle for giving firmness to spongy and bleeding gums; to sprains and muscular swellings (bark juice).

Symplocos racemosa

Diarrhoea and dysentery, liver complaints and dropsy, to stop bleeding of gums, it is used also in ophthalmia and conjunctivitis (bark). In combination with sugar it is recommended in the treatment of menorrhagia and other uterine disorders
